Many factors could impact the quality of inverse planning for IMRT. Since the optimization of inverse planning is still under intense investigation, many parameters for inverse planning in commercial planning system are selected by the planner based on experience. In this session, we will introduce a few typical clinical cases, such as prostate, breast, head and neck, as well as lung to discuss the effect of some practical factors such as target volume, beam number and orientation, delivery method on the results of each treatment plan.
