2B02-CURRENT CALIBRATION PROTOCOLS

            The most recent protocols (AAPM TG-51 and IAEA TRS-398) for the dosimetry of photon and electron beams will be discussed.  Both protocols use chamber calibration factor in terms of absorbed dose to water at the reference point of measurement in a cobalt-60 beam.  Ionization charge measured in the user’s beam is converted to dose using Bragg-Gray cavity theory and chamber perturbation factors  normalized to cobalt-60 beam.  Details of the TG-51 and TRS-398 protocols will be presented along with their comparison.

本讲将阐述光子和电子束剂量校准的最新规程(AAPM TG-51和IAEA TRS-398)。两规程都使用Co⁶⁰辐射场中测量参考点处电离室的水吸收剂量校准因子，应用Bragg-Gray空腔理论和电离室扰动因子（以Co⁶⁰归一）将用户辐射场下测量到的电离电荷换算成吸收剂量。本讲讲述TG-51和TRS-398协议的详细内容并将二者进行比较。
